On the 6th March 2016, Shaun Thiele was invited by the SWUG (Single Width User Group) of Printing Companies to address their annual conference. The organisers requested that Shaun deliver a presentation on “Increasing Reliability with Best Lubrication Practices”. An opening statement made by Shaun was;
“If the 1st Principle of Business is to – ‘Make a Profit’ Then the Underlying Principle for Maintenance, must be to; ‘Increase efficiency, maximise asset productivity & reliability and eliminate waste.’ “
The closing summary was;

- Grease is about knowing application needs and applying – Quality / Quantity / Frequency
- Reliability is achieved through 6 R’s of lubrication principle
- Reliability is “Consistency and Stability”
